    This course is for people who are required to assess emergencies and provide basic Life Support and basic First Aid to stabilise patients before transfer to emergency services.

    Who Should Attend?

    Course Objectives

    • By attending a structured first aid course, you will be taught valuable techniques, strategies and thought processes to help casualties. You’ll be trained how to administer first aid to people who are choking, in shock, bleeding or unconscious, as well as how to deliver CPR, and how to use first aid equipment properly. You’ll also be given extensive training on how to assess situations and circumstances, and how to act safely and proactively in an emergency.

    Certification

    • All delegates who finish the assessment with a score of 70% or higher will receive a Certificate of Competence.
    • Delegates who score lower than 60% will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

    Assessment

    There will be an assessment at the end of the course.

    • Delegates have to complete the assessment with a minimum score of 70% to receive a Certificate of Competence.
    • Delegates who score between 60% and 69% will get a second attempt at the assessment.
    • If you fail the second attempt, will need to repurchase the course
    • Delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance regardless of a pass or fail.
